Introduced in June, the all-new 2023 Honda HR-V is the second generation of Honda’s entry-level sport utility vehicle. The new HR-V gets a fully redesigned interior and exterior, impressive new tech features, a new suspension and platform, more power from its 2.0-litre engine, and new safety technology.
Starting at $28,730, the 2023 Honda HR-V is powered by a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 158 hp and 138 pound-feet of torque. This engine shared with the 2022 Honda Civic delivers more power and more torque while also being more efficient with an average fuel consumption rating of just 8.3 L per 100 km with front-wheel-drive models, and 8.7 L per 100 km with all-wheel drive models.
The Honda HR-V has also grown. It now offers 691 L of total cargo space and up to 1,559 L with the rear seats lowered down. Not only is the HR-V more spacious, but it also offers more interior technology with a standard fully digital instrument cluster and larger centre touchscreens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Honda HR-V has also grown in terms of its safety list. New driver assistance technologies include blind spot information for the first time in the HR-V, a new low-speed braking control, and front and rear false-start prevention which helps lower the risk of low-speed collisions. There is also a new Driver Attention Monitor that can detect if the driver is showing signs of fatigue which could impact safety.
The Honda HR-V is built on a new global architecture and has a redesigned new independent rear suspension for improved handling as well. This improves safety, but it also improves the driving pleasure found in the 2023 and HR-V. Give us a call today to learn more.
