Honda has multiple electric and hybrid vehicles in the works and is currently laying the groundwork for one of the most ambitious electrified vehicle strategies ever. The 2023 Honda CR-V as well as the Honda Civic and Accord will be getting a hybrid version according to early reports, and of course Honda has its first fully electric vehicle in the works and ready for next year.
The 2024 Honda Prologue will indeed be the first EV from Honda, and it promises remarkable characteristics. It will be an SUV with plenty of interior space and advanced safety technologies, and it will be built on a new platform that should allow for a lot of range and impressive battery capabilities. Following the launch of the Prologue, Honda will be bringing many more models to market with even more range and EV capabilities. Honda plans to sell 500,000 electric vehicles in North America by the end of the decade and therefore needs many new models.
It will start next year with the arrival of the Honda CR-V Hybrid which will be based off of the new generation CR-V expected in the summer of 2022. Honda also is planning hybrid versions of the Civic and a new generation of the Honda Accord Hybrid.
